Black/Red Drop Necklace

note: our necklace was made with gold findings, black 8mm
crystals and red magic glass beads.

The Pattern
(you'll need this for most of the necklace)
- a large sun bead cap
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal bead
- a large sun bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead

The main part of the necklace
Pick up the 60cm strand of tigertail. Thread on a small crimp, a jump ring, then thread back through the crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread on a filigree metal tube. Then thread on a round magic glass bead, followed by a plain metal bead. Next, thread on the pattern (as above) 13 times. Then thread on:
- a large sun bead cap
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal bead
- a large sun bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a filigree metal tube
Next, thread on a small crimp, a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail.

Open up another jump ring. Thread on the bar part of the toggle clasp, then thread through one of the jump rings on the end of the strand. Close securely. Open the jump ring on the other end of the strand, thread on the flower part of the toggle clasp (thread through the loop at the back of the flower) and close securely.

Drop 1
Take one of the 20cm pieces of tigertail and fold it in half. Thread a plain metal bead over one strand, so it falls to the folded point. Then, bring the two strands together, and thread on the pattern once. Finally, thread on:
- a large sun bead cap
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal
- a large sun bead cap

Next, thread on a large crimp, a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Put aside.

Drop 2
Take the next 20cm of the pieces of tigertail and fold it in half. Thread a plain metal bead over one strand, so it falls to the folded point. Then, bring the two strands together, and thread on the pattern once. Finally, thread on:
- a large sun bead cap
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal
- a large sun bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic bead

Next, thread on a large crimp, a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Put aside.

Drop 3
Take the last of the 20cm pieces of tigertail and fold it in half. Thread a plain metal bead over one strand, so it falls to the folded point. Then, bring the two strands together, and thread on the pattern once. Finally, thread on:
- a large sun bead cap
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal
- a large sun bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic bead

Next, thread on a large crimp, a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Put aside.

Putting it together
Open up the jump ring on the end of drop 1 and thread through the flower part (the main flower) of the toggle clasp. Close securely. Repeat with drops 2 and 3. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
