note: quantities in [square brackets] indicate how many of that particular material we used. Depending on what size bracelet you're making, you might need more or less. |
Take the piece of tigertail and fold it in half. Pick up one of the jump rings and open it slightly (as the jump rings are quite strong, you will need to use to sets of pliers, your crimping pliers and twirly wirlies will be fine). Thread on the circle end of the toggle clasp and close it securely. Thread the jump ring onto the tigertail and make it sit in the fold. Thread a small crimp over the two strands and up to the jump ring. Pull up tightly, making sure the jump ring is still sitting in the fold. Crimp down. Over the two strands, thread a decorative metal bead with a large hole (to hide the crimp). Now thread a 4mm round semi-precious bead over the two strands. Split the strands up and thread onto strand 1 (S1) a small decorative metal bead followed by a 4mm round semi-precious bead. Thread onto strand 2 (S2) a small decorative metal bead followed by a 4mm round semi-precious bead. Now begin your pattern. Thread the following onto their respective strands:
| S1: | | - right-hand side of the two strand fancy filigree spacer (FS1) |
| | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
| | - a small decorative metal bead |
| | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
S2: | | - left-hand side of the two strand fancy filigree spacer (FS1) |
| | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
| | - a small decorative metal bead |
| | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
Repeat another 6 times. Now thread on:
| S1: | | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
| | - a small decorative metal bead |
| S2: | | - a 4mm round semi-precious bead |
| | - a small decorative metal bead |
Bring the two strands back together and thread a 4mm round semi-precious bead over the two strands, followed by a decorative metal bead with a large hole and a large crimp. Put your bracelet aside and pick up one of the jump rings and open it slightly. Thread on the bar end of the toggle clasp and close it securely. Pick your bracelet back up and thread the jump ring over the two strands. Take the tail end of the tigertail and thread it over the top of the jump ring and through the large crimp. Pull up tightly, crimp down and cut off any excess tigertail.
