88 plain metal beads
86 small star bead caps
2 long decorative bead caps
2 jump rings
2 eye pins
2 large tube crimps
1 small tube crimps
15 diamond metal beads
13 twisted flat oval beads
note: quantities in indicated make a 'standard' necklace
(our necklace is approx 650mm). We used white round cats eye
, aqua cube cats eye, white/aqua twisted flat
oval beads and silver findings.

The pattern
(you'll need this for most of the necklace)
- a diamond metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a 6mm large cube cats eye bead
- a small star bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm round cats eye bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a twisted flat oval bead

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take your two pieces of tigertail and thread through a large crimp, then through the loop in one of the eye pins. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail.
Onto the first strand (Strand 1), thread on:
- a 6mm round cats eye bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a 6mm large cube cats eye bead
- a small star bead cap
- a plain metal bead
Still on Strand 1, thread on the pattern (as above) 6 times, so you have six twisted flat oval beads on your strand.
Finish by threading on:
- a diamond metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a 6mm large cube cats eye bead
- a small star bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm round cats eye bead
To make sure everything doesn't fall off this strand whilst we are working on the other strand, thread a small crimp on the very end of the tigertail and squish down - this crimp will be cut off later, to complete the necklace, but in the mean-time, it will ensure your hard work isn't lost.
Now, pick up Strand 2 (the second strand) and thread on:
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm round cats eye bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a 6mm large cube cats eye bead
- a small star bead cap
- a plain metal bead
Still on Strand 2, thread on the pattern (as above) 7 times, so you have seven twisted flat oval beads on your strand.
Finish by threading on:
- a diamond metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a small star bead cap
- a 6mm large cube cats eye bead
- a small star bead cap
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm round cats eye bead
- a plain metal bead
Cut off the crimp that was squished onto Strand 1 earlier. Bring the two strands together and thread through a large crimp. Then thread through the loop on the second eye pin and back through the crimp. Pull up and squish the crimp down. Cut off any excess tigertail.
Thread the straight part of the eye pin through one of the long decorative bead caps (so that the two strands come up to the larger opening of the bead cap, with the eye pin poking out the top of the smaller end) and pull up reasonably tightly. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the eye pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Open up a jump ring and thread through the loop you just created, and the loop on the flower part of the toggle clasp. Close securely.
On the other side of the necklace (the side with the eye pin already attached), repeat the above process. This time, instead of threading on the flower part of the toggle clasp, thread on the bar part of the toggle clasp. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
