Bronze Two Strand Flower Garden Shell Necklace

Materials:Tools:
2 x 60cm pieces of tigertailCrimping Pliers
1 heart toggle claspWire Cutters
74 plain metal beadsTwirly Wirlies
16 patterned round disc shell beads
38 6mm round magic glass beads
20 large decaball metal beads
3 jump rings
1 small crimp
2 large crimps
2 large holed filigree metal tubes
note: quantities in indicated make a 'small' necklace
(our necklace is approx 44cm). We used brown
magic glass beads and flower garden shell beads with bronze coloured findings.

The pattern
(you'll need this for most of the necklace)
- a patterned round disc shell bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a large decaball metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead

Putting it together
Take your two pieces of tigertail and thread through a large crimp, then through one of the jump rings. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread a filigree metal tube over the two strands.

Onto the first strand (Strand 1), thread on:
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead

Still on Strand 1, thread on pattern 7 times, so you have seven patterned round disc shell beads on the first strand.

Still on Strand 1, finish by threading on:
- a patterned round disc shell bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead

To make sure everything doesn't fall off this strand whilst we are working on the other strand, thread a small crimp on the very end of the tigertail and squish down - this crimp will be cut off later, to complete the necklace, but in the meantime, it will ensure your hard work isn't lost.

Now, pick up Strand 2 (the second strand) and thread on:
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a large decaball metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a large decaball metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead
- a plain metal bead
- a large decaball metal bead
- a plain metal bead
- a round magic glass bead

Still on Strand 2, thread on pattern 7 times, so you have seven patterned round disc shell beads on the second strand.

Cut off the crimp that was squished onto Strand 1 earlier. Bring the two strands together and thread through a filigree metal tube, followed by a large crimp. Then thread through a jump ring and back through the crimp. Pull up and squish the crimp down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Open up another jump ring and thread through one end of the necklace. Whilst it is still open, thread on the bar part of the toggle clasp. Close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the necklace and thread on the heart part of the toggle clasp. Close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
