Ceramic/Wooden Bead Two Strand Necklace

Materials:Tools:
2 x 45cm, 2 x 15cm tigertailCrimping Pliers
8 small crimpsWire Cutters
9 strong jump ringsTwirly Wirlies
8 filigree metal tubes
12 6mm wooden beads
36 small disc wooden beads
16 15mm wooden beads
12 ceramic flat round beads
2 plain 2 strand bar ends
1 plain circle toggle clasp
note: quantities in indicated make a 'standard' necklace
(our necklace is approx 50cm). We used chestnut
wooden beads and copper coloured findings.

Take one of the 15cm lengths of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through one of the jump rings. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread a filigree metal tube over the crimp, and then thread on:
- a 6mm wooden bead
- a small disc wooden bead
- an 15mm wooden bead
- a small disc wooden bead

Repeat this pattern another two times and then thread on one more 6mm wooden bead. Finish by threading on another filigree metal tube, then a small crimp, a jump ring and back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down the crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Repeat this process so that you have two short wooden bead strands.

Take one of the 45cm lengths of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through one of the jump rings. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread a filigree metal tube over the crimp, and then thread on a 6mm wooden bead. Follow by threading on:
- a small disc wooden bead
- a ceramic flat round bead
- a small disc wooden bead
- an 15mm wooden bead

Repeat this pattern another three times and then thread on:
- a small disc wooden bead
- a ceramic flat round bead
- a small disc wooden bead
- a 6mm wooden bead

Finish by threading on another filigree metal tube, then a small crimp, a jump ring and back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down the crimp and cut off any excess tigertail.

Take the second of the 45cm lengths of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through one of the jump rings. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread a filigree metal tube over the crimp, and then thread on a 6mm wooden bead. Follow by threading on:
- a small disc wooden bead
- a ceramic flat round bead
- a small disc wooden bead
- an 15mm wooden bead

Repeat this pattern another five times and then thread on:
- a small disc wooden bead
- a ceramic flat round bead
- a small disc wooden bead
- a 6mm wooden bead

Finish by threading on another filigree metal tube, then a small crimp, a jump ring and back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down the crimp and cut off any excess tigertail.

Pick up one of the plain 2 strand bar ends. Open the jump ring on the end of one of the short wooden strands and thread through the side of the bar end that only has one loop. Close securely. Open up the jump ring on the shorter of the ceramic/wooden strands and thread through the top loop of the bar end, close securely. Open up the jump ring on the longer of the ceramic/wooden strands and thread through the bottom loop of the bar end, close securely.

Pick up the second plain 2 strand bar end. Open the jump ring on the end of the second short wooden strands and thread though the side of the bar ends that only has one loop. Close securely. Open up the second jump ring on the shorter of the ceramic/wooden strands and thread through the top loop of the bar end, close securely. Open up the second jump ring on the longer of the ceramic/wooden strands and thread through the bottom loop of the bar end, close securely.

Finally, open up the jump ring on one end of the necklace and thread on the circle part of the toggle clasp. Close securely. Open up the last jump ring and thread on the bar part of the toggle clasp. Whilst the jump ring is open, thread it onto the jump ring on the other end of the necklace and close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
