Blue Flower Garden Necklace: Project Instructions

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 12 x 6mm capri blue swarovski bicones
  • 14 x 4mm turquoise swarovski bicones
  • 7 x 6mm peridot swarvoski bicones
  • 7 green leaf glass charms
  • 12 dark blue large glass bell flower beads
  • 6 aqua blue large flat discs
  • 14 x 8mm aqua glass beads
  • 2 copper small tube crimps
  • 2 copper wire protectors
  • 2 copper crimp covers
  • 50cm of copper tigertail
  • 40 x 3mm copper plain metal beads
  • 28 copper large star bead caps
  • 9 x 6mm copper strong jump rings
  • 21 x 50mm copper head pins

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • 2 x Crimping Pliers
  • OR Jump Ring Tool
  • Twirlie Wirlies
  • Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Pattern A (you will need this below)

  • a large star bead cap
  • a 8mm aqua glass bead
  • a large star bead cap
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead
  • a 6mm capri blue swarovski bicone
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead
  • a aqua blue large flat disc glass beads
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead
  • a 6mm capri blue swarovski bicone
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead

Pattern B (you will need this below)

  • a flower drop
  • a leaf drop
  • a crystal drop
  • a flower drop
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a large star bead cap
  • a 8mm aqua glass bead
  • a large star bead cap
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead

The Flower Drops:

Pick up one of the head pins and thread on a 4mm turquoise swarovski bicone, followed by a dark blue flower bell drop. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat process another 13 times, so that you have 14 flower drops. Put aside.

The Leaf Drops:

Open up one of the jump rings (as these are quite strong, you will need two pairs of pliers or a jump ring tool) and attach one of the glass leaf charms. Close securely. Repeat process another 6 times, so that you have 7 leaf drops. Put aside.

The Crystal Drops:

Pick up one of the head pins and thread on a 6mm peridot swarovski bicone. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat process another 6 times, so that you have 7 crystal drops. Put aside.

The main part of the necklace:

Take the piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through a wire protector and back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp. Then thread on the pattern A (as above) 3 times, so you have a total of 6 x 6mm capri blue swarovski crystals.

Next, thread on:

  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a large star bead cap
  • a 8mm aqua glass bead
  • a large star bead cap
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead
  • a 4mm capri blue swarovski bicone
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Then thread on the pattern B (as above) 6 times, so you have a total of 12 flower drops.

Next, thread on:

  • a flower drop
  • a leaf drop
  • a crystal drop
  • a flower drop
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 4mm capri blue swarovski bicone
  • a 3mm plain metal bead bead

Then thread on the pattern A (as above) 3 times, so you have a total of 6 x 6mm capri blue swarovski crystals in this section of the necklace.

Next, thread on:

  • a large star bead cap
  • a 8mm aqua glass bead
  • a large star bead cap

Finish by threading on a small crimp then go through a wire protector and back through the small crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp. Open up a jump ring and thread on one side of your toggle clasp and thread it through the wire protector. Close securely.

Open up another jump ring and thread on the other side of your toggle clasp and thread it through the wire protector on the other side of your necklace. Close securely.

Your necklace is now ready to wear!
